Filmmaker/screenwriter/novelist Lisa Gold has written award-winning screenplays and eight award-winning short films, which she also directed and/or produced. Lisa has a B.A. from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. from UCLA. She recently received her third degree, an A.A. in cinema production from Los Angeles City College.
Lisa was a Fellow in the American Film Institute’s Directing Workshop for Women+, Lisa’s AFI short film played in 39 festivals. Her last short played in 56 festivals. She is currently completing production on her 9th short film. A lover of improv comedy, Lisa is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory.
Lisa was selected as a participant in The Writers Lab Canada 2026 with her newest pilot CANADA RESISTS. This action/action pilot script is a Quarter-Finalist in the 2026 PAGE International Screenwriting Awards.
